Liberace
It has been over 20 years since the death of pianist/showman
Wladziu Liberace whose flamboyant yet endearing style
captured the imagination of many fans. Who can forget
the candelabra perched conspicuously on his piano, that
trademark beautiful smile, and all those gaudy outfits?
Two things immediately stand out when examining his
chart. First, is the strong Venus, karaka for entertainment
and income, exactly conjunct his 7th house MEP of public
and aspecting his 1st house. He began playing piano
by ear at four years of age and was performing with
symphony orchestras in his early teens. He experienced
his early success during the Venus main period from
age 12-32. He certainly made millions from his profession
and was adored by the public.
3rd house ruler, weak but well-placed, Saturn (publishing,
initiatives) aspects 5th house (creativity, higher education)
ruler, Mars and 9th house ruler, Sun both poorly placed
and in infancy in the 6th house. Mars reciprocates by
aspecting Saturn. These influences brought about other
creative endeavors such as authorship of several books,
the founding of a non-profit organization which funds
scholarships for schools and colleges, and the Liberace
Museum. Also, his philanthropy can be attributed to
a strong Jupiter, ruler of his 1st house.
Debilitated Rahu and and Ketu directly afflict the
6th and 12 houses along with the other even numbered
houses. These aspects contributed to his health issues
(2nd, 4th, and 6th houses) of AIDS, emphysema and heart
disease. Also, he endured several lawsuits (6th house).
The 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 12th house are also signifactors
for marriage and because of the affliction, Liberace
was never married.
