Johnny Depp
The second installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean
movie has been breaking box office records lately. It's
eccentric but likeable star, Johnny Depp, once again
reveals an uncanny knack for portraying offbeat characters.
This charming actor has come a long way since his roots
in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Depp is the youngest of four children guaranteed by
three planets in the 11th house of older siblings. Malefic
Jupiter aspecting the Most Effective Point (MEP) of
the 3rd house of younger siblings denied him any younger
brothers and siblings. This denial also was helped by
the 3rd house ruler, Mercury, in infancy, and afflicted
by malefic Saturn.
Jupiter also plays a hand in the death of Depp's grandfather
with whom he was very close (probably more so than his
own father) when Johnny was seven. This event shook
Depp deeply and took place during a Mercury subperiod.
Mercury is afflicted by Ketu whose dispositor is malefic
Jupiter posited on his 9th house (father, teacher) MEP.
This same Jupiter caused the separation from his father
when his parents divorced when he was 15.
Sun, ruler of the 2nd house of status and wealth is
strong in the 11th house of gains bringing Depp some
fabulous income. His reported income for the latest
Pirate movie is $20 million. A strong Mars, lord
of the 10th house profession, locks in his fame, as
it is placed in the 2nd house of status and wealth.
Beneath the affable exterior, Depp has demonstrated
tempermental and destructive traits. For example, in
September 1994, when transiting malefics Jupiter and
Rahu transited his 4th house (character), he was arrested
for criminal mischief when he caused $10,000 damage
to a posh hotel room. Also, note the aspects to the
8th (damage) and 12th (loss & arrest) houses from
these malefics. In Depp's natal chart, Jupiter rules
discord (6th house) and aspects his 1st (personality),
3rd (communication), and 5th (emotions) houses. His
chart ruler, the Moon, is badly placed in the 6th house
of conflicts and disputes.
Currently, Depp is living with, but not married to,
French singer-actress, Vanessa Paradis with whom he
has two children, Lily-Rose Melody (May 27, 1999) and
Jack (April 20, 2002). Malefic Jupiter's affliction
to the 5th house of children will result in troubles
to one or both of them perhaps during the Jupiter main
and Jupiter subperiods from September, 2013 to November,
2015. The strong 2nd house ruler of family, Sun, however,
will act as a protective cover.
